– The Daffodil – is highly toxic to the human body, especially if the bulb is ingested. It can cause severe stomach problems, irregular heartbeat and even death.

Here are some cost effective Organic gardening methods to control and manage these culprits.
- Salt Them – Sprinkling rock salt on them will get rid of weeds and kill most of the harmful palnts. Pool salt and regular table salt work as well but are more expensive. I buy mine at a discount in winter. You should see results within 3-4 days.
- Boil Them – Pouring boiling water on them is an effective means of shriveling up even the toughest plants and weeds. I use the left-over water when I’m cooking in the kitchen. A couple of days later they’re gone.
- Pour Vinegar On Them – Douse the plants in half vinegar / half water. I use the excess vineger from a pickle jar. This is a good method of exterminating plants with long taproots.
- Eat Them – One mans weed is another man’s rose. A good example of this is the Stinging Nettle ( Stinging tree ) is a herbal vitamin and also has healing properties. Just make sure you’re wearing the proper garden gloves when harvesting them.
